Explore notions of contemporary vocabulary through our interview series
Between July and October 2016 Amateur Cities and New Generations interviewed 20 experts from Italy and the Netherlands asking about notions of contemporary vocabulary and the possibility of building better ways of communicating about urban challenges. Each interview includes a set of terms proposed by the interviewees as a contribution to the New Vocabulary of Terms, questions on the condition of the contemporary vocabulary, personal anecdotal stories and reflections related to the specific discipline of each expert. The series is structured around four umbrella topics: New Ecologies, Urban Assets, Digital Toolkit and New Collectives, which constitute a basic framework for the ongoing research. All invited speakers were asked to reflect on specific urgencies and the discourse around them from the point of view of their own discipline.
